Sevanaia Nagusuivalu and his family travelled from the interior of Naitasiri to do their back-to-school shopping in Suva yesterday.

He was spotted with his children shopping at Post Fiji, Suva, and he said government’s $200 per student back to school cash assistance was helpful because he has four children.

“It has been hard over the years and with this cash assistance it has enabled us to worry less, especially with our children’s school needs,” Mr Nagusuivalu said.

“I’ve always shopped at Post Fiji because it has everything my children need with regards to school items. We like to call it our ‘one stop shop’.”

Mr Nagusuivalu said he has noticed that ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit Fiji, prices for school items had increased.

“Some of the school stationery have gotten a bit expensive but we are just thankful that we are able to buy them with this cash assistance given by the Government.”
