COVID-19: Fijian parliament sitting postponed

Next week’s sitting of Parliament has been postponed.

In an advisory, the Parliament of Fiji stated the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic was rapidly evolving.

“Fiji is once again faced with a grave and present danger to the lives of the Fijian people,” it stated.

“We must, at all costs, be vigilant – we must act together to stop this virus from spreading.

“In that regard, the business committee met this afternoon and has unanimously approved that the parliamentary business scheduled for April 26-30 , 2021, be deferred until further notice.”
