Maintaining status as defending champions of the Lincoln Refrigeration Pte Ltd Police Soccer Inter-District Competition is the main objective of the Police Mobile Force side.

After successfully defeating the Easter Division side 1-0 in their first game of the tournament yesterday, team manager Seresio Vereivalu says there are a few things his side needs to work on.

“The boys played well in their first game, but there is still a few things that we have picked up on that the boys will need to work on and look into to,” he said. “Communication on the field was our weakness during our first game.

“We will have to go over this with the boys along with our positioning on the field.” Vereivalu says while the side enters the team as defending champions, they are still looking at themselves as underdogs.

“We may be defending champions, but we are considering ourselves as underdogs because we know all the teams out there will be looking to beat us.”

He also mentioned the side will be treating each match as a final, in an aim to take each game more seriously as others.

“We will be treating all our games as a final and will be tackling each of them one at a time.” They will play Central Division at 11am today.
