The Police teams are on a mission to keep lifting their performance at the 36th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s this weekend.

The men in blue which recently won the 1st Fiji Bitter Welagi 7s two weeks ago know what is expected from them when they march into Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Coach Sale Tubuna said they wanted to re-strengthen their team bonding and also to acclimatise themselves to the Western weather.

“We also need to work on our fitness,” he said.

“I’m happy with how we have prepared this week, working on the little aspects of the game and getting the players to gel in at training, even though we have six of our players away in the extended squad.

“It doesn’t worry us as we have capable replacement players in our squad.

“We practice situation reaction drills at training, whereby our players identify the solutions to certain situations that they encounter on the field.

“The main thing during a game is to be vocal and communicate at all times.”

Police White lost to the Wardens 7s team last year 10-5 in the final and they are looking to redeem themselves this week.
