The Nadroga football side is confident of making the semi-finals of this year’s Courts Inter District Championship which starts this Wednesday.

The Stallions have been seemingly unlucky in tournaments this year.

They were undefeated at the Fiji FACT and the Battle of the Giants tournaments but failed to make it out of their pool.

The side drew all its pool games but fell just short of making the next round.

Team president Mohammed Ali said the side had left no stone unturned during preparations for this tournament.

“We are going all prepared. We have all players available and no major injury concerns,” Ali said.

“I can assure the fans that the boys will do all they can to make the last four.”

Nadroga will face Nadi in its first match and Ali said it would be a tough start.

“Nadi is a star-studded team and we respect them. We drew with them during the BOG in August and I’m sure we can match or do better than that at the IDC.

“It’s the IDC and all teams will come prepared. We have an unbeaten record at tournaments but that will be no use if we can’t make the semis.”

Nadroga has won the IDC on three previous occasions, last winning it in 1993.

The side beat Nasinu 1-nil in the final at Govind Park that year.

Nadroga battles Nadi at 1pm at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium on Wednesday.
