The winds of change have swept across the nation of Fiji and have brought about new leadership.
Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Pio Tikoduadua made this comment while addressing senior officers of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) at his welcoming ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua this morning.
Mr Tikoduadua was accorded the quarter guard and was also traditionally welcomed by the officers.
He said the new leadership was brought about because of the decisions and the will of the people.
He added the new leadership came with responsibilities and “of course is bound by the law and Constitution of the land”.
The Minister said he was speaking according to the law of parliamentary democracy.
